Sofia Richie married fiancé Elliot Grainge at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, in a custom wedding dress by Chanel on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
The bride wore an Haute couture halter gown embellished with white and iridescent beads, as she walked down the aisle with dad Lionel Richie by her side.
“We created the top of that dress and made it bridal-y,” Sofia explained of her big day.
A trio of dresses was created by Chanel for her three major wedding-weekend events: the rehearsal dinner, which took place on Friday night at a private estate; the ceremony; and the after-party. “It has always been a dream of mine to have Chanel design my wedding dress,” Sofia says.

Hermès v. Rothschild:
The verdict ends a year-long battle between the French luxury house and NFT artist Mason Rothschild over his MetaBirkin NFT collection.
After several days of deliberation, the nine-person jury in the copyright infringement trial between Hèrmes and non-fungible token (NFT) artist Mason Rothschild ruled Wednesday in favor of the French luxury brand.
The Hermès lawsuit involved Rothschild's MetaBirkins NFT collection. The jury awarded $133,000 in damages to Hermès, determining that Rothschild did, in fact, profit off Hermès' goodwill by producing NFTs based on the design house's Birkin bags.
The jury also decided the NFTs were not protected under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, as Rothschild's lawyers had argued during the trial.

David's Bridal files for Bankruptcy
Two days after it announced it was laying off 9,236 workers, David's Bridal has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is looking for a buyer.
In a press release few weeks ago, the company said its stores would remain open and operations would continue as normal while it looks to sell key assets.
In a statement, CEO James Marcum cited the uncertain economic conditions of the post-COVID environment as a driver of the company's decision to seek "a buyer who can continue to operate our business going forward."
